Dear Actionmarguerite Residents and Families,

We trust that you are finding ways to keep warm as we traverse Manitoba’s frigid temperatures. In today’s update, we wanted to share with you the most recent updates regarding the outbreaks at Actionmarguerite. Some outbreaks are now over while new ones have been declared. We continue to work diligently to put in place the measures that minimize the spread of illness. Please read on to know more.

The outbreak status is as follows:

 Actionmarguerite St. Boniface

The ABC tower continues to experience COVID activity. The outbreak on 3ABC has been declared over as of today. General visits continue to be suspended for 4AB, 4C, 5AB, and 5C.

For the DE tower, 2DE is experiencing a respiratory outbreak and 4DE has COVID activity. General visits are suspended for 2DE and 4DE.

Designated family caregivers (essential visitors) are welcome to visit at their own risk and are asked to wear the personal protective equipment provided by our staff.

 Actionmarguerite St. Joseph

Unit 1 and 2 are experiencing gastrointestinal outbreaks. General visits are suspended for both units until further notice.

Designated family caregivers (essential visitors) are welcome to visit at their own risk and are asked to wear the personal protective equipment provided by our staff.

 Actionmarguerite St. Vital

An upper respiratory illness outbreak has been declared for Unité Marguerite (the specialized and secured unit located on the 1st floor for persons living with dementia). The 2nd floor outbreak continues while the outbreak on 3rd floor has been declared over as of today. To summarize:

1st Floor – General Visitors welcome

Unité Marguerite – General Visits suspended due to new outbreak

2nd Floor – General Visits suspended due to ongoing outbreak

3rd Floor – General Visitors welcome

Designated caregivers (essential visitors) are welcome to visit units experiencing outbreaks at their own risk and are asked to wear the personal protective equipment provided by our staff.

You can contribute to preventing the spread of illnesses by:

  • Not visiting Actionmarguerite if you are sick,
  • Wearing the personal protective equipment provided by our care team at all times during your visit,
  • Washing your hands frequently and thoroughly.
