Dear Actionmarguerite St. Boniface Residents & Families,

Today, we  learned that two (2) residents from 2ABC tested positive for COVID-19 at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface, located at 185 Despins. Since our update on December 25, we now have (10) staff from the ABC tower who have tested positive.

Residents are in isolation and staff who have tested positive are isolating at home. Contact tracing is underway. All outbreak protocols have been put into effect and we are working closely with the WRHA Infection Prevention and Control Team to address our needs.

The entire facility is now on Outbreak Status on the Provincial Pandemic Response System.

All visits to Actionmarguerite St. Boniface were suspended on December 25 and will remain suspended until further notice. Updates will be provided on our website as the situation evolves.

We will test residents who show any sign of symptoms. Families will be called if a resident is at risk or is tested.

Please be assured that we continue to move quickly to enact precautions and implement all procedures related to our pandemic plan.

I know this is frustrating, disappointing, and concerning to all residents, families, and staff.  Our goal remains to keep everyone safe. We thank you for your patience, understanding and cooperation.

If you have questions specific related to your loved one’s health condition, please contact the nursing staff on the unit. We will endeavour to return your call as soon as we are able. If you have any other questions or concerns, please email info@actionmarguerite.ca.

 With regards,

Micheline St-Hilaire
