Dear Residents and Families,

We hope that you have been able to enjoy the sunny weather we have had this week.  The conditions have been ideal for spending time outdoors with family and friends.

It is with great pleasure that we share the news that the outbreak at Actionmarguerite St. Joseph is officially over.  This marks the first time since Christmas that we have been outbreak-free at all of our sites!  Much gratitude goes out to our residents and their loved ones for their patience and support as we fought these outbreaks.

We would also like to express gratitude for all those who took the time to participate in the Resident & Family Council meetings held this week at Actionmarguerite St-Boniface and Actionmarguerite St-Vital.  We hope to see the same level of participation at the Resident & Family Council meeting for Actionmarguerite St. Joseph, slated for Tuesday, June 14 at 3 pm.  Information on how to join this meeting has been sent to our family distribution email list.  Any family members who have not received the meeting details and wish to attend can email info@actionmarguerite.ca for more information.

At the meetings we had promised to share details on the virtual session on Elder Abuse Awareness that Actionmarguerite and the Health Care Ethics Service at St. Boniface Hospital have arranged to commemorate World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15th.  For information on the session, please go to:  https://www.actionmarguerite.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poster-World-Elder-Abuse-Awareness-Day-June-15-2022.pdf.  This session will be held in English.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email info@actionmarguerite.ca.

With warm regards,

Micheline St-Hilaire, Chief Executive Officer and the entire Actionmarguerite Team
