Dear Actionmarguerite Families,
We trust that this message finds you well as we near the end of March. Slowly, we have been able to enter into a recovery phase following this last wave of the pandemic. Group activities, mass and communal meals have resumed for the most part, and we have been able to welcome both essential and general visitors, except where there are current outbreaks. Read on to know more.
Outbreak Status
Actionmarguerite St. Vital – Unité Marguerite
(a specialized and secured unit located on the 1st floor for persons living with dementia)
- Today, we are glad to report that there are no active resident cases linked to this outbreak.
- The outbreak however cannot yet be declared over as we must monitor residents who have not tested positive so far for at least the next 10 days. There is a continued risk of transmission.
- Given the current situation, we can resume Essential Visits for all of Unité Marguerite, effective tomorrow March 31, 2022.
- We expect general visits to resume once the outbreak is declared over.
Actionmarguerite St. Joseph
- No current outbreak.
Actionmarguerite St. Boniface
- No current outbreak.
As always, we stress the importance of adhering to the infection control measures in place for all individuals entering Actionmarguerite as there continues to be community transmission of the virus and COVID-19. Adhering to the protocols remains essential to prevent further outbreaks:
- Please ensure that you screen yourself for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 before each visit and do not visit if you have symptoms.
- Wear your mask and eye protection properly at all times during the visit.
- Wash your hands thoroughly and often.
- If you develop symptoms of COVID-19, please notify us immediately. This will allow us to do the necessary follow-ups to prevent the spread of the virus.
Please email info@actionmarguerite.ca if you have any questions or concerns.
Be well,
Micheline St-Hilaire, Chief Executive Officer & the entire Actionmarguerite Team
