Dear Actionmarguerite Families,

Late last Friday, we shared with the Actionmarguerite St. Vital families that another outbreak was declared on Unité Marguerite. We are writing today with an update regarding the outbreak on the 1st floor and the second outbreak on Unité Marguerite.

Outbreak Status

Actionmarguerite St. Vital – 1st floor

  • A total of two (2) residents tested positive for COVID-19. They are now recovered.
  • No additional residents or staff have tested positive related to this outbreak.
  • Visits (essential and general) on the affected wing continue to be suspended until the outbreak is declared over. This will occur once 14 days have passed since the last positive case and the affected area has been thoroughly cleaned.

Actionmarguerite St. Vital – Unité Marguerite

  • A total of 14 residents have tested positive for COVID-19.
  • The outbreak remains contained to the 1400 wing (green wing) of the unit.
  • There are 3 active staff cases related to this outbreak.

To date, the persons affected are experiencing mild symptoms. We continue to assess residents regularly and are adhering to infection prevention and control measures to contain the spread. We wish everyone well in their recovery.
