COVID-19 Update #12 – January 21, 2022
Actionmarguerite St. Boniface, Actionmarguerite St. Joseph, Actionmarguerite St. Vital
We felt it important to write today with a short update, given that we are reporting new cases at Actionmarguerite St. Joseph. Six (6) additional residents have tested positive since our last update following the proactive testing of residents. Most of the residents are asymptomatic yet have tested positive for the virus. We have reached out to the families affected by this news. Further updates are provided below for Actionmarguerite St. Boniface and Actionmarguerite St. Vital, as a number of residents are considered recovered as of today.
Outbreak status
Actionmarguerite St. Boniface
- Outbreaks are active on all units.
- Three (3) deaths have been linked to the outbreaks.
- Thirty-two (32) residents have been deemed recovered.
- No additional residents have tested positive for a total of forty-five (45) active cases.
- Seventy-three (73) staff members have tested positive, and sixty (60) of them have since recovered.
Actionmarguerite St. Vital
- Two (2) units have active outbreaks (2nd floor & 3rd floor).
- One (1) death has been linked to an outbreak.
- Twenty-two (22) residents have been deemed recovered.
- No additional residents have tested positive for a total of seven (7) active cases.
- Twenty-five (25) staff members have tested positive, and twenty-one (21) of them have since recovered.
Actionmarguerite St. Joseph
- One (1) unit has an active outbreak (1st floor).
- One (1) death has been linked to the outbreak.
- Two (2) residents have been deemed recovered.
- Six (6) additional residents have tested positive for a total of eight (8) active cases.
- Twenty-two (22) staff members have tested positive, and sixteen (16) have since recovered.
A summary of our Virtual Family Meetings will be prepared and distributed early next week for those who weren’t able to be present.
Let us all pause for a moment to recognize the impacts of this pandemic on everyone and remain hope-filled that it will, like all pandemics, end.
