The Assistant Finance Manager works in collaboration with the Finance Manager and the Finance team to provide quality services for all financial management and accounting functions. The Assistant Finance Manager assists with planning, organizing and directing the administrative activities of the Finance function and associated services. The Assistant Finance Manager coordinates and maintains the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers and the inventory databases. The Assistant Finance Manager assists in the preparation of annual budgets; financial analysis, timely and accurate financial statements and other related accounting functions. The Assistant Finance Manager reports to the Finance Manager and will work closely with other members of the Finance team as well as managers within the organization, residents and family members. The incumbent will provide services to all Actionmarguerite sites and applicable service contracts.

Pay Scale: As per established salary scale
Specifications: Term ending September 1, 2027 with 2 weeks’ notice and possibility of extension. Assignment and hours of work are subject to change at any time as per operational requirements.

Required Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Completion of a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) or a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a specialization in accounting and/or enrollment into the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) and/or an equivalent combination of formal education and related experience;
- Minimum three years public sector accounting experience, preferably in a health environment;
- Previous supervisory experience;
- Demonstrated experience in preparation of financial statements and analysis; and
- High comfort level with technology and solid working knowledge of Excel, Dynamics Great Plains and Report Designer software.
