Dear Actionmarguerite Residents and Families,
Actionmarguerite St. Vital is experiencing a common cold outbreak on Unité Marguerite.
The following measures are in place for Unité Marguerite ONLY:
- Visits from general visitors have been suspended for residents living on Unité Marguerite beginning March 14th.
- Essential visitors are welcome to visit at their own risk and will be provided with the required personal protective equipment.
- Cleaning of high touch surfaces, common area and residents’ room has been enhanced.
- Group activities and communal dining will continue on the unit for residents who are asymptomatic.
- One-to-one activities and one-to-one spiritual care will be offered to residents who are symptomatic.
- Medical and other medically necessary appointments will continue, however, other short stay absences and social leaves will be postponed.
- Hairdressing services will be postponed for residents on Unité Marguerite.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing cooperation with adhering to infection prevention and control measures:
- Self-monitor for signs and symptoms of illness and stay home if you are ill,
- Properly use personal protective equipment whenever you visit,
- Wash your hands thoroughly and often.
