Dear Actionmarguerite St. Boniface Families,
Yesterday, we shared that a single COVID-19 positive case in a staff member on 3ABC was identified.
Following a thorough risk assessment with Infection Prevention & Control, the risk of transmission is considered to be very low. We continue to be very attentive and are monitoring all residents for symptoms and ensuring diligent use of PPE and thorough and frequent hand washing. Knowing that the risk is low and the importance of family presence, visits are able to resume for the residents of 3ABC as of Wednesday, December 22.We continue to need your full adherence and support to the following measures given the rise in cases and community transmission of COVID-19. We stress the importance of respecting the infection control measures in place for all who enter Actionmarguerite:
- Please screen yourself for symptoms prior to each visit, and do not visit if you have any symptoms,
- When filling out the visitor log, ensure that your entry is complete and legible for contact tracing purposes,
- Properly wear your mask and goggles while visiting,
- Perform hand hygiene thoroughly and often.
- Get vaccinated.
As we have learned during the pandemic, things can change quickly, and we will notify you as soon as possible should changes be required.
We thank you for your patience and understanding, which allowed us to gather the necessary information to make the most informed decision possible.
Please email info@actionmarguerite.ca if you have any questions or concerns.
