Actionmarguerite | COVID-19 Update #34

Dear Residents and Families,

We trust this message finds you well as we enter the weekend. We are glad to share with you that the outbreak on 4AB at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface is declared over.  We are able to resume general visits on this unit, effective Saturday April 30. Also, no additional residents have tested positive for COVID-19 at Actionmarguerite St. Joseph. For more details, see the outbreak status below.

Outbreak Status

Actionmarguerite St. Boniface

  • Our current outbreak is on 3ABC.
  • Nine (9) residents have been deemed recovered.
  • No additional residents have tested positive.  There are eleven (11) active cases.
  • General visits are suspended on 3ABC.
  • Designated family caregivers (essential visitors) are welcome to visit 3ABC at their own risk and are asked to wear the personal protective equipment provided during the entirety of their visit.
  • There are currently nine (9) staff at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface who are positive and are currently isolating.

Actionmarguerite St. Joseph

  • An outbreak has been declared on Unit 2.
  • One (1) death is linked to the outbreak.
  • No additional residents have tested positive.  There are thirty-four (34) active cases.
  • General visits are suspended on Unit 2.
  • Designated family caregivers (essential visitors) are welcome to visit Unit 2 at their own risk and are asked to wear the personal protective equipment provided during the entirety of their visit.
  • As we endeavour to contain the spread, we ask that only designated family caregiver who is providing essential care, such as assisting at mealtime, be present. To limit everyone’s exposure to the virus, designated family caregivers are asked to limit their time at Actionmarguerite. You may also be asked to assist another resident with their meal if we are working short. If you are willing to assist another resident, please let one of our nurses know. We will re-evaluate this measure on Monday, May 2, 2022.
  • There are currently eighteen (18) staff who are positive and are currently isolating. We wish everyone a full and speedy recovery.
