Dear Residents and Families,
Today, we share with you updates on outbreaks at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface and Actionmarguerite St. Joseph. We also have a request for residents and family members to participate in a recognition event should you so choose. Read on to know more …
Outbreak Status
Actionmarguerite St. Boniface
- Current outbreaks on 3ABC and 4AB.
- An additional death has been linked to the outbreaks for a total of two (2) deaths. We have reached out to the family and have offered our condolences as well as wishes for much strength and peace as they grieve their loved one.
- Forty (40) residents have been deemed recovered.
- Seven (7) additional residents have tested positive for a total of twelve (12) active cases.
- General visits are suspended on these outbreak units.
- Designated family caregivers (essential visitors) are welcome to visit at their own risk and are asked to wear the personal protective equipment provided during the entirety of their visit.
- There are currently nine (9) staff who are positive and are currently isolating.
Actionmarguerite St. Joseph
- An outbreak has been declared on Unit 2.
- One (1) death is linked to the outbreak.
- Eighteen (18) additional residents have tested positive for a total of thirty-four (34) active cases. Most residents are experiencing mild symptoms.
- General visits are suspended on Unit 2.
- Designated family caregivers (essential visitors) are welcome to visit at their own risk and are asked to wear the personal protective equipment provided during the entirety of their visit.
- As we endeavour to contain the spread, we ask that only designated family caregiver who is providing essential care, such as assisting at mealtime, be present. To limit everyone’s exposure to the virus, designated family caregivers are asked to limit their time at Actionmarguerite. You may also be asked to assist another resident with their meal if we are working short. If you are willing to assist another resident, please let one of our nurses know. We will re-evaluate this measure on Monday, May 2, 2022.
- There are currently thirteen (13) staff who are positive and are currently isolating. We wish everyone a full and speedy recovery.
Actionmarguerite St. Vital
- No current outbreak
