Dear Actionmarguerite Residents and Families,

We’re pleased to share that on March 17, 2026, Actionmarguerite will launch a new electronic health record, called PointClickCare. The system we’ve been using for 25 years – introduced when Actionmarguerite was among the early leaders in digital documentation – has served us well but it can no longer be supported. Updating it now is essential to ensure we continue providing you with safe, reliable care. It may not come with a pot of gold, but it will bring many positive changes!

This new electronic health record is more than a technology change. It will ultimately help our team see, honour, and share what matters most to you such as your routines, your preferences, and the small things that make your day feel like your day. What makes this especially exciting is how it will help us continue our commitment to person‑directed living.

What You Will See

• Nurses using laptops attached to medication carts

• Nurses and Health Care Aides using iPads in hallways or at your bedside

These devices help staff access your health record quickly and safely. They are for resident care only, not personal staff use.

What You May Not See, but May Feel

• Clear, up‑to‑date information shared easily among the care team and during your care conference

• Faster updates and less repeated paperwork

• Better teamwork, with information available at everyone’s fingertips

• More time for meaningful moments, as staff spend less time documenting and more time with you

This transition will help us continue to provide the highest possible quality of life and quality of care, rooted in collaboration, hospitality, excellence, and respect.
