Please be advised that, due to the holiday, essential care giver in-room visits will not be available on Monday, September 7, 2020 (Labour Day Weekend).

We do not have sufficient staff or resources to ensure the proper screening and the safety of residents, staff and visitors on weekends and holidays.  We continue to offer in-room visits to Essential Care Givers on non-holiday weekdays (see prior communications –  We thank you for your understanding and your cooperation.

Please note that we continue to see non-compliance on the fundamental principles in place to keep residents, staff and visitors safe against the COVID-19 virus.   This includes the proper wearing of masks, sanitation of hands and compliance with visitation guidelines.  We have intervened with essential care givers when this was observed; however, we cannot supervise all visitors at all times.  We ask that you strictly observe the guidelines in place to protect each other.

As many of you know, the number of active cases are increasing, and there are outbreaks in personal care homes.  This simply reinforces the need to be diligent and observant of the practices and behaviours required of all of us.  Our goal is simple: keep the virus from infecting our residents, our staff and our visitors.

With the changing weather, we are again reviewing our visitation program.  We will be communicating more information in the near future.

Any concerns, suggestions or comments are welcome at

Thank you,

Charles Gagné, Chief Executive Officer
