In October 2018, Actionmarguerite celebrated 122 recipients and retirees honoured at the Long Service Award & Retirement Recognition Reception. Actionmarguerite management, its families and residents wish to thank each and every one of these persons for their commitment and dedication. Testimonies were heard from these persons. In turn, a testimony will be posted.
Paul Rioux, Health Care Aide, Actionmarguerite St. Boniface
“I started volunteering at Actionmarguerite when I was 19 years old. That was 32 years ago, now I’m retiring and I never regretted my decision. The job is not hard if you’re part of a good team. They were all there for me, and I was there for them. For me, the most important thing was making the residents smile.”
Louise Pinel, Supervisor, Food Services, Actionmarguerite St. Vital
“I worked as a cook at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface for ten years and became the food services supervisor at St. Vital five months ago. I like Actionmarguerite’s values and missions, and seeing the residents being served with dignity. It’s an environment where you feel appreciated. I can’t see myself working anywhere else!”
Rachelle Labossiere, Assistant to Managers, Resident Services, Actionmarguerite St. Vital
“I started at Actionmarguerite in 1998 as an aide. From the outset, it was like I had dozens of grandparents. We love the residents like family. We take care of them every day. They become more than patients. I can’t imagine myself anywhere else.”
