We became aware today, February 14th, of a health-care worker at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface, 185 Despins St., who tested positive for COVID-19.   Their last day worked was February 12nd, 2021.  The person had worked days on 3DE.   Out of precaution, an outbreak on 3DE has been declared (RED ZONE) and complete outbreak protocols are in place until further notice.

Essential caregiver visits on 3DE will be suspended and will resume on March 1, 2021 (assuming no additional cases). General visits for 3DE residents will also be suspended until March 1.  Essential caregiver visits on all other units will continue as well as the scheduled general visits in the designated shelters.

We will be contacting the residents and families on the unit to inform them of our risk assessment.  We will test residents who show any sign of symptoms.   Families will be called if the resident is to be tested at any time.

Please be assured that we are implementing quickly all precautions and procedures related to our pandemic plan.
