The following is update #6 on the current COVID-19 resident outbreak at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface, 185 Despins.

The total number of residents in the COVID AREA 19 remains at nineteen (19) active cases.  Seventeen (17) are from 3DE and two (2) from 2DE.   We remain at one death.

The residents in our COVID-19 area are stable, some have symptoms and some do not.  Residents are assessed daily by the attending physician and our nursing staff are in communications daily with families.

Since our last communication, all symptomatic and asymptomatic tests were negative.  This includes surveillance tests of 18 residents on 2E, wing with two (2) confirmed cases.  Tomorrow we plan to conduct surveillance tests of all remaining residents on 3DE.   We will continue to test all symptomatic residents.

Vaccinations went well and we are grateful to the over 25 staff and physicians who were tasked to administer the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.  A total of 273 residents received their second dose.  Thank you to everyone for the extra effort. We are monitoring all residents for any side effects.

Visitation (both essential care and general visits) will remain suspended until March 1 inclusively.

Please do not hesitate to share your questions and concerns via email at info@actionmarguerite.ca.
